  Service that made me smile

  Had a wonderful and relaxing time with my family at Velas Vallarta. The resort was beautiful, the daytime activities and evening entertainment were fun, and the rooms were spacious and clean. But far and away the best thing that Velas Vallarta has going for it is the service, especially at Restaurant Andrea. Every day everyone on the staff was friendly and accommodating, but two of them stood out and were just amazing: Edgar in the morning, and Marcelino in the evening. I cannot say how much the experience was improved by them. Edgar was so kind and was a delight to speak with. Even in the days when I wasn't seated in his area he went out of his way to say hello, and he would chat with me in the days I was. He even offered to help me practice my Spanish - I wish I knew more words so I could have been as engaging as he was! The last day we had a nice chat and he even brought out a little cake as a surprise. (I found out later he brought one to my parents too when they went for breakfast after me!) He was absolutely a highlight of the trip. And so was Marcelino! Marcelino was so nice to me and to my family. He was funny, engaging, and friendly. We had a baby in our group, and on the nights we were at the restaurant with the baby, Marcelino was so good to him. Making the baby laugh, and even bringing us a bowl of berries when we told him they were the baby's favourite food. Marcelino would also say hello to us even if we weren't dining in his area, and would have a little chat with us. He truly went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome. Both men did - I can't sing their praises enough!

  Plan your next stay at Velas Resort (All inclusive)

  What an amazing trip. Staying at Velas Resort was the best decision we could have made. Location is great (without seasonal beach front river water, it would have been exceptional)!! The pools, grounds, activities excellent!!! 5 Star restaurant!!!! We miss Edgar & Jorge so much. Thank you guys for making our stay so memorable. Genuinely kind the entire staff was world class❣️💯💯💯 All inclusive is the way to go! Room service 💯 Atmosphere 💯 Value 💯 worth every peso Cleanliness 💯 Noise 💯 (the storms were even beautiful) Activities 💯 5mins from Marina 💯 8-10mins from the mall 💯

  Beautiful Velas Vallarta

  We had a fantastic week. We enjoyed the all inclusive meals, beverages and entertainment. The pool was fantastic, arts and crafts, yoga, evening entertainment and pool exercises. The staff was great and our room was so comfortable. Everything was clean and well attended. Edgar Jorge was one of many wonderful servers at Restaurante Andrea.

  Choose Velas, Puerto Vallarta, and enjoy being treated like Royalty!

  Our Family's vacation at the Velas Resort, Puerto Vallarta, was glorious! And while it is difficult to know who or what should be complimented first, here goes! Our first wonderful interaction was with Mr. Jesus Barretto at the Front Desk. The courtesy and generous attention that Jesus extended to our Family and friends was outstanding and provided such a warm and caring welcome. Next, each night at dinner Marsilino and Julio treated our group of 7 like Royalty. We consistently received special treatment, and the extra time and special service that Marselino always provided to our group was above and beyond any reasonable expectations. Beatriz and Azul at the Concierge Desk were so very helpful with keeping our group members smoothly on the go during our vacation. No matter the activity or issue we presented to Beatriz, she always handled our matters with sensitivity and sincere effort. Jesus, Julio, Marcelino, and Beatriz have guaranteed that each year we will be returning to Velas. Our accommodations and the Resort's grounds were splendid. Finally, I want to extend my sincere thanks to Juan Carlos Lopez who keeps this Velas Resort running at such an extremely high level of excellence!

  Great for families

  We brought our kids here for their first time in Mexico, and after staying at Velas Vallartas, they can't wait to come back! We booked the all-inclusive option with a two-bedroom suite through Costco. Our ground transportation was arranged with Grey Line through the Costco package, and that was a much better experience than dodging the timeshare salespeople at the airport. The resort is very close to the airport, and you'll see the planes arriving and departing over the water. We didn't find them to be too loud or disruptive. The hotel is lovely, and the grounds are very well maintained. We enjoyed having the balcony in the evenings, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We went in August and while it was hot, the air conditioning worked very well inside the rooms. The grounds are very well maintained, and our kids really loved seeing all of the animals onsite (koi ponds, iguanas, peacocks, even a falconer with a hawk that kept the "nuisance" birds away.) Our kids were a little older for some of the Kids Club activities, but it was clear that there were a lot of good choices (smoothie making class, dance sessions, an afternoon show of The Little Mermaid, and a bird show with macaws and cockatoos). All-inclusive was the way to go, especially with kids. They really loved the fun of ordering room service, poolside snacks, getting beverages at the swim-up bar, and their daily visits to the ice cream counter (the mango and passionfruit sorbets were fantastic). There are plenty of food options between the two restaurants, and many kid-friendly foods too. There is a pizza shop, and a burger bar by the pool. The service everywhere was great, but we were especially impressed by Alan and Edgar, who were our servers at Andrea. We went there most days for breakfast, and they were so attentive and thoughtful. Every day they made us a fruit plate (even though it was part of the buffet), and when my daughter said she'd always wanted to try guava, they brought her a whole bowl. When we were done with breakfast, they made us coffees to go. On our last day, they brought us a tres leches cake, which was such a sweet sendoff. Alan and Edgar really elevated our experience at Velas Vallartas. Overall, this is a great family-friendly place (but also great for adults).
