  TRS Yucatan - 28 day staycation

  We just returned from a 28-day stay at TRS Yucatan, and honestly, this review could have gone in a completely different direction if not for one person: Manager Carlos. When we first arrived, we had an issue with our room. Unfortunately, our experience at the front desk was frustrating. We spoke with four different staff members and felt like we were getting a lot of “I can’t” instead of any effort to help. One staff member in particular was outright rude. After that, we genuinely felt like we had made a mistake booking such a long stay. The next day, we met with Carlos—and everything changed. He immediately took ownership of the situation, sincerely apologized, and completely turned the experience around. Not just with words, but with action. He went above and beyond to make things right, including giving us access to the hydrotherapy circuit and reserving a Bali bed for the remainder of our stay, along with a few thoughtful touches like TRS tumblers. More importantly, he made us feel heard and valued. From that point forward, our stay was exceptional. The restaurants on the TRS side were outstanding: Tentazione (Italian) and La Bohème (French) were highlights. The food prepared by Chef Luis was excellent, and Brenda (head waiter) made every visit feel personal—like we were regulars. There was also a fantastic waiter at La Bohème (I believe his name was Francisco) who remembered us with the phrase “10 more minutes”—he was great. Capricho was another standout. Chef Juan personally came to our table when he saw that my wife wasn't eating her eggs Benedict (they were just a bit overcooked) and handled it with genuine care and class. Daniel, our server, was equally excellent. El Gaucho was good we just aren't big red meat eaters and didn't get there very often. Helios (Mediterranean) became our go-to for breakfast and lunch. Jenessa and Miriam always greeted us warmly and made every day start on a positive note. The service throughout the resort really made the difference: The Bali bed team, Enrique and Luis, took excellent care of us every single day. Our butlers, George and Israel, were outstanding. Both kind souls. George, in particular, became someone we truly connected with. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare. I consider him a friend for life. Room tip: If you’re booking a Junior Suite with a private pool, ask for Building 66—room 6603 if possible. It’s quiet, gets great sun, and has an ideal setup. Plus, you’ll likely end up with top-tier butler service. Final thought: We went from saying “we’ll never come back” after day one… to already talking about returning. That turnaround says everything. What a difference a day makes, 24 little hours! Carlos—thank you for setting the tone from the top. It shows.

  Paradise

  Came with my husband to celebrate 4 years of marrage, we upgraded to the travel club and got a room up grade to juniour suit with outdoor pool, we have used the pool nearly every day which was well worth it. The service has been amazing as well as the staff. Our butlers were Gab and Maggie and they were fantastic and made our stay. We visited Church hills bar with Christian the mixologist who is amazing and what he does and makes the best cocktails we have ever tried. As part of the travel club we got to experience the mayan breakfast tour which we were not sure of at first but turned out to be fab and got to see spider monkeys up close, also had the floating breakfast which was a first. We went to chic, bingo and rock show which were all so great and worth going to experience. The best resturants for us was the steak and japenesse at the family side. We have loved this trip

  Best Butler EVER

  The property is amazing. Love the food, animals, pools, beaches and all there is to do. By far the best service. Every person there was kind and attentive. George our Butler at Villa 66 was amazing!! Cannot express how much he went above and beyond to make our trip special.

  Relaxing, refreshing, amazing vacation!

  Everything about our trip was fabulous from beginning to end! All the staff was so kind and friendly. Our butlers, Naomi, Carlos and Alfredo made it extra relaxing and wonderful! The facilities were lovely, food was delicious and lots to do! We just left and already can’t wait to come back!
