This fun-filled 'keiki' or children's program introduces the unique Hawaiian culture and traditions through dance, arts and crafts, language and games. Keiki ages 5 to 12 years can have an activity-filled day and learn more about Hawaii. The Westin Kids Club Discovery Room is licensed by the Department of Human Services, State of Hawaii.
Each day at the Westin Kids Club Discovery Room is different and exciting. Our Westin Kids Club® Discovery Room facility is equipped with video game systems, air hockey, foosball and more. May 12, 2026Family Spring Break at the Westin!
We stayed at the The Westin Maui Resort & Spa over spring break with our two girls (11 and 12) and had an amazing time. My husband is Platinum Elite with Bonvoy, which he earns through extensive work travel so we really appreciated his status recognition throughout our stay. We were upgraded from a mid-floor ocean view room to a high-floor superior ocean view room, we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast perk at the market each morning and were very grateful for the 4 pm check out on our last day as we had a late red-eye flight home. Highly recommend booking an ocean view, the views from the 10th floor were stunning — whales, rainbows, and sunsets every day from our balcony. The resort itself has everything you need, from restaurants, to Starbucks, clothing shops and the market which was not only great for breakfast but also convenient for grab and go items like smoothies, coffee, snacks etc. The coconut cake was so, so good, highly recommend! Our daughters loved the pools, waterslide, flamingos, and parrots around the property. We also loved that there was great snorkeling down the beach at Black Rock where we saw lots of sea turtles. We also really enjoyed the incredible live guitarist by the pool on the weekend. He was amazing! The pool side food and drinks were delicious, I recommend the Mai Tais, spring rolls and the pineaple caprese salad, sooo good! We also booked the luau at the resort which was excellent and recommend booking the premium seating to be closer to the stage. The food and the show were very family-friendly. Overall, we had an excellent stay! This is a beautifull resort that is extremely clean, with gorgeous updated rooms and friendly staff. We appreciated the status recognition and we will absolutely stay here again. Mahalo!!

Excellent Westin experience in Maui!
Lovely hotel! Very nice staff! We did not want to pay the extra $500 a day for an oceanfront room and thought we would be dissappointed and that was not the case at all! The Mountain View with the sunrise was amazing. Loved the adult pool and excellent restaurants on site. Walking paths along the coast was excellent! Wonderful early mornings eating breakfast outside.

Recommend staying elsewhere. The upgraded rooms are subject to terrible music pulsing through the resort until late into the night. Punishment for a lovely view. Stay somewhere else with a nice view and a relaxing environment. I guess if you want to party all night, maybe you wouldn't mind?

Too busy too little facility to support the number of guest
For years, I’ve enjoyed this lovely hotel as a retreat and a Hawaiian experience. I was there this week and the property is too small for the number of guests and children and adults that are using the facility. It was insanely busy and really was very disappointing if you had family and friends there. I think the footprint of the hotel is too small from the Number guess that are there and the services for food and drink were vastly lacking for the number of people they had to serve. I was suggest another facility if I was gonna stay there.

Nice infant pool, but horrible customer service- avoid this property
We decided to book a 3 night stay on points at this hotel in Maui, my wife is a platinum elite member with Marriott. From the moment we arrived, the staff was extremely rude. They wouldnt even let us leave the vehicle there while we checked in, despite other people leaving their vehicles there and they were rude about it. Additionally, they dont allow you to take your own luggage to the room. While some people enjoy having their stuff taken care of, I appreciate being able to manage items that are fragile and/or precious. We were not given that opportunity (equally poor experience at check out with this too). The lady who checked us in was extremely nice and cordial to my 2.5 year old though, which we appreciated. Our stay was mediocre at best as the room was not well cleaned before we arrived and didnt want to argue about it. On top of this, we ate at the bar three times and had numerous issues getting the burger cooked medium well- it was rare in the middle; this happened multiple times and even the bartender didnt have any rationale when I came back to a similar experience. Im disappointed by the way this experience at this property when none of the management staff replied to the email or were willing to talk to us when we were there. It even showd up when I had to create a 3rd support ticket to marriott to get a response from the front office director. Very disappointed, do not recommend and will not return.
