  Be warned. Don’t make the same mistake I did!

  I am currently here and, unfortunately, I’m extremely disappointed with our experience so far. We are on day 3 of 10. Let me start at the beginning. We checked in and were a little shocked by how dated and worn the resort felt. To be fair, I understand this is a budget hotel in Mexico, so I tried to keep an open mind. However, when we entered our room, we quickly realized it had not been cleaned at all. I called the front desk (very politely, I might add), and they hung up on me. I initially gave the benefit of the doubt and assumed there may have been a language barrier. By 10 p.m., no one had come to clean the room, and we had no choice but to go to sleep in someone else’s dirty room. Staff didn’t arrive to clean it until the next morning. Spending your first night of vacation sleeping in an uncleaned room is completely unacceptable. The issues didn’t stop there. The food has been nearly inedible, my husband was sick the first night, and thankfully there’s a restaurant across the street off the resort because we’ve ended up eating elsewhere. Don’t even look at how they wash the cups for the drinks 😳 This morning, when we asked about getting mimosas for my husband’s birthday, staff rolled their eyes at us. I have read about very friendly staff here, but I haven’t met them yet. Later, at the food court, a staff member dropped an entire bucket of oil all over my brand new suede Birkenstocks and my linen pants. I could honestly go on and on, but after booking 10 days here, we’ve made the decision to spend additional money to move to the Riu. We won’t be getting any money back, but at this point, getting out of here feels worth every penny. I rarely leave reviews like this, but I truly wish I had read something similar before booking.

  That was a great experience, the room was so clean and peaceful, with a great view to te beach, I like the treat of the people and the food was so good, very good experience at the beach in Vallarta.

  An unforgettable family vacation!

  ​We just wrapped up an amazing one-week stay and truly have zero complaints. The pool, food, and daily entertainment were all fantastic, and the nightly shows were a wonderful bonus each evening. ​What really sets this resort apart, though, is the incredible staff. A huge shoutout to Diana at the kids' club—my children had an absolute blast making keychains, bracelets, and going on the treasure hunt. We also want to recognize Gladys at the buffet, who provided phenomenal service and was always so attentive to our family's needs. The team here genuinely makes you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive.

  Wonderful and relaxing week at Sunscape!

  We had a great week long stay at this resort. The resort is not far from the airport (about a 15 minute drive) and a 10 minute drive to Malecon, depending on traffic. Thanks to Hector and Fatima at the front desk for making our check in/out process smooth and efficient. Our room was located on the 4th floor and had a great partial ocean view. The room was modern but it does show some wear and tear. However, this did not affect our overall satisfaction of the hotel. We thought the in-room dehumidifier was a nice touch. There was also a stocked mini fridge (beer, soda and water). We were informed the beer and soda would not be restocked and bottled water would only be restocked upon request. There was a water dispenser on our floor so you could refill your water bottles if you did not want to reach out to the front desk for water. We had the pleasure of meeting Jenifer, Antelo, Fernando, and Jose at the buffet restaurant. They were very accommodating, friendly and attentive. We never bothered going to the a la carte restaurants because they have a decent selection of food at the buffet which is also situated beside the beach. One good thing about the a la carte restaurants at this resort is you don’t need a reservation, it is a first come first served basis. Shout out to Alexis at the lobby bar for making great cocktails with the perfect amount of alcohol in my beverage. The beach bar also makes a great cocktail but it is always busy. The beach may not be as great compared to other places we’ve been, but this is beyond the resort's control. The pool area always appeared clean but was also very busy. I would also like to thank Virginia who works for marketing at this resort for making us feel welcome and to Oscar for his attention to detail about our pick up time to the airport. We can’t wait for our return and hopefully the staff mentioned will still be there.

  Great place, resort is a little dated but the food is great. Roberto and Dylan at the Italian restaurant are great really made our trip
