  Disappointed

  Resort is 3 star at best. Food was horrible. Buffet was small and food was honestly disgusting. We managed on breaded fish and pasta. The a la cartes were not great. Teppanyaki horrible Italian ok Steak house horrible food...service was horrible Oceana was good but sand fleas destroyed our ankles as it is on the sand on the beach. Rooms terribly outdated Locks were broken Phones didn't work Shower has 1 door Musty smelling and dark Sunclub was not worth it We decided to eat off the resort 5 out of 7 nights No entertainment 1 bar at night for the entire resort Beach decent in spots but lots of locals swim in and ask you for drinks etc.. Price does not reflect the experience

  Not worth the headache

  Resort is not as shown in the pictures. Now we stayed here 8 years ago, and it was great. But it looks like since it is part of World of Hyatt, it has become ugly. Our daughters room had a bathroom tile fall on her boyfriends head during a short rain storm. Turned out that the bucket they had in the ceiling space, overflowed. A BUCKET WAS CATCHING WATER, Thats right. Team said it was fixed, but that was just a bandaid on a bullet wound. Adjoining room had unattended children trying to get in the room through the door attached to both rooms. Security was called, nothing was done.

  NOT WORTH THE MONEY

  ⭐️⭐️ Sunscape Curaçao Resort — Honest Review I recently stayed at Sunscape Curaçao Resort from July 11th through July 17th, and unfortunately, my overall experience was not what I expected. One of the biggest issues was the internet. For the first two to three days of our stay, we had no Wi-Fi in our room. We had to repeatedly ask someone to come and look into the problem. Thankfully, Amanda the Sunclub concierge was absolutely wonderful. She was persistent, helpful, and made sure the issue was finally taken care of. I truly appreciate her excellent customer service. Brittany at the front desk was also great. She was very friendly and helpful, especially when she assisted us with booking our excursion. Employees like Amanda and Brittany really stood out and deserve recognition. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about everyone. The ladies in the Sun Club lounge were not rude, but they were not particularly friendly or welcoming either. As a guest who booked the Sun Club VIP experience, I expected a higher level of hospitality. The cleanliness of the resort was another major disappointment. The main pool was extremely dirty. The water looked murky and did not appear inviting or properly maintained. Thankfully, we had access to the Sun Club pool because we had booked the Sun Club VIP package. If we had not, I would have been very disappointed because I would not have felt comfortable using the main pool. The beach itself was beautiful, and I really enjoyed it. However, there were not enough beach chairs and umbrellas for the number of guests. Every morning, the chairs were already taken, which made it difficult to enjoy the beach comfortably. The food was actually one of the better parts of our stay although it lacked variety I enjoyed the food. The Blue Water Grill had the best food. They were open for breakfast to Sunclub guest only and then for lunch and dinner for all guests. The Hibachi restaurant was the only restaurant that required a reservation. We had a good experience there and the food was good. However, the service in general was not as good as I expected from a resort. Another issue that really bothered me was the room service policy for Sun Club members. Although room service was offered, we were required to leave a $100 credit card deposit and pay a $10 delivery fee every time we ordered. I have stayed at many hotels and resorts, and this was something I had never experienced before. Considering that we had already paid for the Sun Club VIP experience, I found the additional deposit and delivery fee unreasonable. Getting the remaining deposit refunded was also unnecessarily difficult. I had to call and was repeatedly transferred to an extension that was not answering or giving an option to leave a voicemail. I had to make this international call five times as I continued to explain this to the woman who kept transferring me. She finally transferred me to reservations and Miligene placed me on hold and called the accounting department. She then told me she did not get an answer and gave me an email to contact the manager of accounting. I was grateful for her taking the time to help me after I told her I had called five times and kept being transferred. It was a simple process for them to take my deposit so I feel like the process should have been just as simple for me to get it back. After emailing the manager she responded promptly and I had to complete a form, enter the credit card number I used for the deposit and submit it for the refund. The refund process is way too much and should not require that much work. Overall, Curaçao itself is absolutely beautiful, and I enjoyed the island and the beach. However, my experience at Sunscape Curaçao Resort left a lot to be desired. There were definitely some wonderful employees, particularly Amanda and Brittany, and one other girl whose name I can’t remember but we had a conversation about Jamaica and she told us that she was Jamaican. These three girls provided excellent customer service, but the resort has significant room for improvement when it comes to cleanliness, pool maintenance, customer service, beach chairs, and the policies surrounding Sun Club benefits. I wanted to share an honest review because I believe guests should know what to expect before booking. I enjoyed Curaçao, but based on my experience, I would NOT book this resort as I would rate it as 2 stars at best.

  This is the mosie wosie

  Looks like the Loraine Motel i was scared to go on the balcony because I didn't want to go out like MLK. Roaches running around the buffet, missing shower doors, faulty AC, bugs in light fixtures, hard beds and pillows. Mayo left out on the tables in 90+ degree heat. Pay for play dinner reservations. The Hyatt should be ashamed to let this garden style motel fly its flag. The worst accomodations I've stayed in in my life. Paid premium fees and got the motel 6/super 8. Don't do it to yourself steer clear of this resort. The staff is nice and are used to customers being disappointed to the point that they sympathize with you for being beat for your money. Kids everywhere, no adults only bars or pools. I could go on forever. Only upside is it sits on the beach and has ocean access.

  Curacao in a nutshell

  It was our first time visiting this country. It was an excellent experience. Some great snorkeling just foot steps away from your room, fish everywhere. Even managed to see a puffer fish. Hospitality was excellent, especially Jermaine, Brandon and Zoraida. Overall I'd visit this country again in a heartbeat.
