  Quality time in a quality environment

  Royalton Antigua was wonderful. While I can see that they could improve, I will still give it an excellent review because for the most part, the staff was attentive and we were able to enjoy our stay. The room was pretty good. A little smaller than expected but it worked for our family. The room service could have been better but they were working with what they had and I appreciated the effort of the staff. The Grand Marche buffet was fantastic. With this being a family trip with a 2 year old and 9 year old, we definitely couldn't be bothered with trying to get reservations although I am told the steakhouse was great. The pool was great and I loved the swim up bar. Water aerobics was great as well. The beach was breathtaking. The gym had everything I needed and the spa was great. We also did an excursion which was arranged by the hotel. It was a bit of a bumpy ride but we definitely got to see the island. Our Marriot Bonvoy attendant Vanessa was fantastic, she helped arrange for the excursion as well as for us to rent a car which we used to explore the island on our own. All in all I had a very good experience. I didn't give a full 5 stars because there could be some improvement however I cannot complain about my time. I am relaxed and rejuvenated and that's what I came for.

  Honeymoon Trip

  We stayed in the bungalows for our honeymoon and had the best experience! Earl was our butler for the weekend and he ensured the entire stay was so enjoyable and relaxing!

  Great Group Vacation

  Daphne - waitress Hezeldeen-hostess Louie - chef Beverley - waitress Sharon (omlette) - cook Vanessa - guest service supervisor Marva - waitress Shermina-hostess Staffian - waitress Icemba - waitress Stephanie - waitress Gavin my golf cart driver that took us around the property. Service from all the above staff was excellent. They went above and beyond to make our experience excellent. Thank you!!

  Diamond in the Rough with an Unbeatable Beach

  Our trip started on a high-stress note after our flight to Guadeloupe was canceled last minute. We booked this resort on short notice, and things got off to a bit of a rocky start. Arrival was on a busy Monday, so the check-in process was quite slow. In my haste, I pushed reception to get us into a room before it was fully ready. However, Guest Services stepped in seamlessly to turn the whole situation around. A special shout-out to Vanessa, who was absolute magic and genuinely saved what could have otherwise been a disastrous holiday. I also want to mention Tanasha at the front desk, who was extremely helpful, polite, and pragmatic in resolving two minor issues at the end of our stay. The Resort & Room The property is slightly older, but it feels well-matured for good reason. We stayed in a Bayside room, which boasted a spectacular view. The Beach & Marine Life Easily the standout highlight of the property. The private beach tucked into the picturesque bay is world-class—quite possibly the best beach I have ever been to. The water is crystal clear, the sand is wonderful, and the marine life right in the bay is fantastic for snorkeling (I saw tons of fish and two stingrays!). The only minor downside is that there aren't quite enough umbrellas, but otherwise, it's absolute paradise. Dining & Service (A Mixed Bag) Staying for a full week gave us a great chance to sample the full range of dining options. The menus across the three restaurants are on the expensive side, and the experience was a bit of a mixed bag, which explains the varied reviews online: The Good: 5 out of our 7 dinners were top-tier. The restaurant staff, in particular, were brilliant. Special thanks to Dale at Caribbean and the fantastic hostess at Grazie (whose name I unfortunately missed)! The Needs Improvement: 2 of our 7 dinners really missed the mark. Additionally, while the restaurant teams were great, service elsewhere was hit-or-miss—the buffet staff (especially hostesses) were very slow, and bar service was occasionally ambivalent. Verdict Despite a bumpy start and a few service inconsistencies, the overall value for a week-long stay, combined with stellar team members like Vanessa and Tanasha, and that breathtaking beach, made this a memorable trip. A true diamond in the rough!
