Excellent hotel. Great location. Very attentive staff. Clean rooms. Restaurant right on the shore- eat while watching the waves. Only comment: restaurant lunch and dinner options could be more. The food could be better.

The view from our balcony is amazing. Staff from the gift shop, grounds and housekeeping are very accommodating. That’s all I can say. I don’t think the facilities provided what they say they will provide. There is only a lagoon and small pool for all the guest. There was a snag in our reservation we need an ADA ROOM. But,don’t use Expedia. Use trip advisor or something else.

- AdvisoryThe Royal Kona Resort’s Lagoon Tower restoration will continue until December 19, 2026. Guests will be accommodated in the Bay and Alii Towers, unaffected by construction, while discounted “Lagoon Tower Renovation” rooms remain available. Those opting for renovation rooms may upgrade upon arrival, subject to availability. Work is limited to 9 am–4 pm, with minimal noise expected. Scaffolding and exterior repairs will be visible, but guest comfort remains a priority.
