We stayed for 7 days. The Riu Reggea offers a great balance between relaxation and partying. And if you're in the mood to party more, the Riu Montego Bay is just a short walk away. The room were great like in any other Riu. The food and drinks were excellent. The bar staff were great, especially the two women at the main pool bar during the day and Dilan in the evening. But what made the stay even more enjoyable and fun was the entertainment team. They are all fantastic, but Marco, Bubble and Nahzie are top tier. They are friendly, funny and always in a good mood. Marco is an incredible dancer. We really thought he will be the one doing Michael Jackson during the evening show and we do think he should be the one doing it. But yeah, we loved our stay and would gladly return. The staff deserves a lot of credit for that.

May 20, 2026Enjoyable Stay with a Few Downsides
A good place to go if you're looking for a fun trip and don’t care too much about a super luxurious experience. The food is decent, and the à la carte steak restaurant is EXCELLENT. Maid/housekeeping service was also very good. One thing I did notice was a few roaches lingering around the lobby area at night. The entertainment definitely stands out at this resort and was one of the highlights of the trip. Some of the entertainers, like Teddy and Nahzie, can be a little flirty, though. Overall, I still had a great trip and would come back.

Best Vacation Spot
Montego Bay is a Beautiful location. The hotel is wonderful and well taken care of. The staff here at the Riu Reggae are very friendly and helpful and very attentive to your needs/wants.

Hotel is excellant. The entertainment staff are the hardest working and professional I have come across. Food is amazing, something for everyone, so much variety . Rooms are very good. Everything is kept spotless, the staff never stop working. Bar staff need a really big shout out as they are so busy all the time and always serve you with a smile. Pools are good but would have liked at least 1 pool that you can actually swim in rather than just stand up drinking all the time. We wanted to go on a snorkeling trip. they offer 1 that is 2 hours just snorkeling but in spite of asking several time to book it we were told the only one available was the party boat that offers snorkeling. We are an older couple and did not want to go on the party boat so we never got our trip which was really disappointing.. Taxis are expensive. Don't bother going into Montego Bay like we did. 10 minute drive cost 60 dollars and there's nothing there except people trying to sell you weed or get you into their shops. I loved the hotel and the staff . they were fantastic but no where to wander outside so for that reason only I would not go back.

Fabulous
Everything was amazing. Our only gripe was arriving at the hotel around 3pm after a 9.5hr flight & then having to wait a further 2 hours for our room to be ready. Our friends arrived the day before & had the same problem. Apart from that, everything was perfect 👌
