  Perfect location! Excellent service! We are very happy with our stay!!!

  Excellent location! Many options at breakfast buffet. Everything was clean and convenient. Highly recommend staying at this hotel.

  A very disappointing experience

  We booked two prepaid rooms (a family room and a single room, including breakfast). Unfortunately, our stay was ruined by terrible service and zero empathy. Upon check-in, the air conditioning in our room was completely broken. Instead of moving us immediately, it took over 3 hours and multiple trips to the front desk to get a new room. We had to wait in a hot, uncomfortable room with our two toddler daughters (ages 1 and 7) while a technician attempted repairs—something that should have been checked before our arrival. Even after speaking directly with the Duty Manager, no real urgency or care was shown. To make matters worse, since we had an early departure at 5:00 AM, we requested a simple takeaway breakfast box a full day in advance (since breakfast was fully prepaid). The staff flatly refused, claiming they don't offer it. Extremely poor service, no accountability, and zero hospitality. We will definitely not be returning.

  Fantastic staff, very clean and very secure hotel, in a great location!

  My wife and I stayed here for three days in the beginning of August, and we are so glad we stayed here! We loved visiting Madrid, what a great city with great people! The entire staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was the perfect place to stay, we highly recommend the RUI!

  Stayed here from Sunday 30th August for 2 nights. I must say the hotel is brilliant in all aspects and the rooftop is one of the best if not the best in Madrid . How ever the Receptionists in the hotel , Not sure of her name , but the she has red hair was very rude and made you feel like we was a problem right from the bery beginning . We got there early and we knew we had to wait until mid afternoon to check in so that wasnt a problem . When we told her that we were only here for 2 nights and that it would be nice if we could have access to the pool as it was over 30 degrees and sitting at the rooftop bar was not what we have in mind, she didnt seem to have a care in the world and flat refused us . She then said we can go rooftoo bar to which she had to have known we needed a access card for the lifts. So we went to lifts where the big old security guard refused us to go up. So then we had to go back to reception and ask her again can we get a temp pass to get access via lifts. She refused to help us and pointed at her colleague muttered under her breath in Spanish and rubbed her hands clean of us. In all our visits to RIU we have never come across somebody so rude and obnoxious . I undertsand hotels have policies and maybe people trying their luck but we came here for a break and she made it feel not so great they way she behaved. On the last day of checking out we asked her for the WiFi code so we could download the Iberia phone app to check in online. She blatantly refused to give us it. As we couldnt download the app we couldn't check in online and when we got to airport to checking in desks they had to put us on emergency standby list due to not checking in . I am not blaming hotel or the staff member for this but she could have been more helpful in her approach which was absolutely lacking The staff member I am talking about maybe should look for another job as clearly she didnt want to be there . The rest of our stay was brilliant , service at pool bar was great , and the hotel is spotless and a great base for the centre of Madrid exploring . The weather was beautiful. However the behaviour from the staff member has put us off coming back and I am making an official complaint to RIU , we have been all over the world with Riu and this is the worst we have ever seen. Usually the staff are exempt but not in this case. I hope management might take our review with keeping it in mind if people cannot get into their rooms until mid afternoon then maybe they can have access to the pool area especially being so hot and also coming so far for a celebration break. We wont come back unless something changed in this aspect of the hotel.

  Madrid Vacation

  The hotel was lovely and nicely decorated. The staff was great and the food at the breakfast buffet was really good. The rooftop bar had the best view of the city. The room for the most part was ok. The bathroom looked updated and very nice but the room itself looked a little dated but it was ok. The one thing that I did not like was the floor of the room. It was neither carpet nor tile, it was like a woven plastic matt that was a very uncomfortable to walk on.
