  GOOD REVIEW OF TWO Staff members and Bad review on the hotel's A/C technician.

  We stayed 14-17 Aug 2026. Since my arrival I noticed an employee carrying out his duties with so much drive, literally non-stop and weather as hot as it is in Mazatlan this staff member always fully drenched in sweat even at night. After the 3rd day I stopped him explained to him I wanted to know his name simply to pass on a review of his great performance. He provided his name: Jesus Avila. My hope is that Royal Club Vacation's top person(s) see this review and thank this individual for his steadfast performance. I also want to recognize another person-a female i believe posibly of Argentinian descent because of the accent. She's a lady posibly in her 40s early 50s that works the one of the two desk to the left of the front desk. She welcomes every one that checks in with such great customer service. Unfortunately I forget her name but I do know this hotel has a true gem. Unfortunately during we had A/C issues with the standard suite room that after the second night and around 3:30-4pm the next we were provided another room due to the increase heat inside the room. And here is where I was hesitant to report the A/C technician but will anyway. This isn't some vendetta but I believe it's only fair for the hotel to realize the attitude of this particular tech is bad for the company business. As a customer sometimes we can get demanding and be partially at fault during certain confrontations with staff members when we get frustrated, however at no time should someone providing service make negative comments like this staff member did: first of all when he checked the system he commented how he would have to do a diagnostic cause the temperature heat kept rising as per the control system. I explained how this has been an issue since Friday when we checked in and here it was Sunday and no progress. He again reminded me how he had to do a diagnostic in where my reply was how long would this take because if it was going to take a long time I was going to request another room. My next question was because apparently this was an ongoing issue on this floor (yes word gets around) would he recommend another room. Here is where he responded that he had already been reported or complained against for saying something with someone else and he his job was strictly A/C. While I can understand this individual having something bite him in the behind there was no need to eventually try taking it out on other customers. Here's where I informed him how I didn't expect him to get me another room but only if he would recommend me do such cuz other techs that checked it out haven't been successful in fixing. Here is where I found totally unforgiven this comment from the technician & exact words in Spanish: "Yo voy hacer el trabajo que tengo que hacer PERO si UD ME SIGUE INTERUPIENDO YO ME VOY". Then he went on how as he mentioned how he would do a diagnostic but he would not be making any recommendations to get another room cause he didn't want any problems for making recommendations. Here's where I chose my words wisely and said how to be frank though I heard everything he was saying I was still stuck on that comment of how "If I kept interrupting him how he would just leave" added that now he did have a problem with me for making such a brash comment. This whole time in this room was not only myself but my invited guest listening on so he cant just try brushing it off by saying this is untrue. After my comment I walked out cause I had another guest on hos way to the hotel. Frankly I was very irrate from his rude comment that I had to walk out rather then have this confrontation with this tech escalate further. Vicente Castillo Membership 1698399

  Wonderful Stay! ♥

  Stayed here for my 41st Birthday on 2/13! It was also a surprise to learn they had Carnaval going on as well. We were lucky enough to be on the 18th floor and the view did NOT disappoint. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. We had a pool attendant named Joan and he was great, he always had good recommendations and was very genuine. If we're ever back in Mazatlán, we'll definitely stay again.

  Pool and location good - units are bare-bones

  The pool and common areas were good and staff were great. The units were not well equipped and the appliances were old. Beds were also not comfortable. Overall just average but we enjoyed our time

  Beautiful Beach

  Park Royal is a very nice hotel with easy access to public transportation and short walking distance to about half a dozen unique restaurants. There is a very good restaurant in the hotel competitively priced as well. Great pool and beach and staff.

  Worst nightmare

  Ac of my room didn’t work, it took forever to fix the issue, I ask to be moved to another room and same problem ac not works properly
