Sep 05, 2026A Grand Hotel in a good location
Over the years I have stayed in many hotels on business but this trip was just for pleasure.We have traveled to Tenerife many times and this was the first time in the capital. The iberostar hotel is a great and somewhat grand hotel in a great location a short walk from most places. Check-in was quick and easy, our room was of a good size, very clean and with a nice little balcony. The overall facilities at the hotel are very good with a nice bar and terrace, restaurants, pool, gym, wellness centre etc. All of which are very good. My partner particularly enjoyed her massage at the wellness centre. We only booked the bed and breakfast option and can say the breakfast was great with a wide selection to choose from. We found all of the staff very warm and welcoming and very keen to help make you stay an enjoyable one. If we stay in capital I will certainly consider going back to this hotel.

Great hotel
The hotel was lovely. The food in the buffet was excellent and staff very friendly. Our room was lovely with a good balcony and bathroom. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Special mention for Keniel the pool attendant. I would definitely go there again.

Amazing
Honestly amazing hotel the breakfast had ppenty of high quality options and the pool area was very relaxing and the sunlounger are very comfy. The lunch that u could vuy fron the hotel was unreal quality with lots if options. The staff was lovely. The bartender carlos was great and all other staff also. Room service is great. And the location is amazing. A 10minute walk to tge most beautiful town with lots if restuarants and things to see. I would 100% recomend this hotel to everyone. So clean and luxurious feel. The gym is open and cool and the spa is very good. Amazing will return. Ps i much prefer santa cruz over las americas and others.

As a family who recently stayed here for a week, we unfortunately don’t feel the overall experience here lived up to a true five star standard. The hotel itself is beautiful, with gorgeous very well maintained gardens and some excellent facilities. However, the biggest issue for us was the service. It was consistently slow on the majority of occasions we waited over half an hour just to get service or a drink. English speaking staff seemed few and far between. At times we genuinely felt like second class guests because we didn’t speak Spanish, which was disappointing and not something I would expect from a five star international hotel. Housekeeping was also inconsistent, and our room was not always cleaned to the standard I would expect from a hotel of this calibre. Breakfast service could be frustrating too with tables often left uncleared for quite some time. There were however, some real highlights. Klaudia at the pool was fantastic and really stood out for her service. The spa was excellent, the padel facilities were lovely, and Kontiki, the Japanese restaurant, was without doubt our nicest culinary experience during the stay. Overall this is a beautiful property with wonderful grounds and some excellent facilities, but having experienced hospitality in many different parts of the world, the service and attention to detail here simply did not meet the standard I would associate with a five star hotel.

A beautiful hotel—highly recommended
Very satisfied with the hotel. Beautiful, quiet rooms. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and delicious, and you can enjoy it in a lovely setting. Everything is very well-maintained and tidy. The valet parking service is also convenient. You can have your car parked and retrieved as often as you like for a small fee. In short, highly recommended in every respect.
