  Nothing like the pictures.

  Very disappointed in Hilton! We have diamond status which tells you we stay with Hilton often. I will say, the breakfast was pretty good! The whole resort needs updating and portions are under construction. The door to our room was so hard to open and close to the point it was a slam or I had to use my shoulder to push it open. Sorry to our neighbors for the constant noise cause we had to leave for work around 530! We had ants in our room and when we reported it, maintenance came through and sprayed. That wouldn’t have been so bad if they hadn’t sprayed my stuff. The pool closes at 7 and the bar at the pool closed at 5. We arrived at 430 to the bar and they were hesitant to serve cause they wanted to close. We were also there for work and wanted to relax after work and it was a rush to make it over there and then to be told they were closing early! Food is done even earlier than the bar. Course the lobby bar is open but this is a resort, so I want to relax by the pool! With a drink! I expected so much more from this place and it was a huge letdown.

  Full Construction Zone Hell

  It’s my first review ever actually — hands down awful experience. Website doesn’t mention that it is going through a TOTAL renovation. It is a complete construction zone— we were woken up by slamming, grinding, back up beeping, and every other sound by 530 am. I told the staff and they were like “well let management know.” The water park is surrounded by the worksite so tarps, noise, and dust coat everything. Our unusable balcony had one plastic chair and was also covered in construction dirt. Couldn’t even wash my hands because there was literally no hand soap (or shower cap or anything other than shampoo and conditioner bolted to the wall). I called to have some sent and nothing for 4 hours until I called again losing my mind and they finally sent it. I just want to cry how awful it is here and we are stuck one more night. I just want to say I understand that Renos are necessary and they need people to keep staying— but at least warn people and discount the price— or comp a breakfast for us poor families who are now up with the sun. Do not stay here!!

  **Very Disappointing Stay — Renovations Missed the Basics** I had not stayed at this hotel in about four years, so I was surprised to see the renovations and updated rooms. While I can appreciate the refreshed colors and appearance, unfortunately the updates seem to have focused more on cosmetics than basic comfort and functionality. The first room we checked into would not cool down. After five hours, the thermostat had not moved. This is Phoenix in the summer — guests should not have to sit in a hotel room sweating while waiting for the A/C to work. The toilet and shower were also dirty, possibly overlooked by housekeeping, and the toilet had trouble flushing. On top of that, our neighboring room appeared to be smoking marijuana throughout the day and night because the smell constantly came into our room. When I complained about the temperature, we were moved to another room. I appreciated the staff accommodating the room change, although the second room was only about two degrees cooler, so we ultimately just dealt with it. Everything seemed okay until we tried to use the shower. The shower did not drain properly and overflowed onto the bathroom floor. The renovated shower itself also seems poorly designed — there is no shelf or practical place to put toiletries, and only one of the glass panels/doors moves. It is simply not the quality I would expect from a recently renovated Hilton property. Then, while trying to blow-dry my hair, the electrical outlet blew. I also noticed that the large pool that used to be part of the hotel has been removed and replaced with what appears to be an artificial grass area. That was disappointing, especially when there are so many hotels throughout the Valley offering pools and other water amenities. At checkout, David was helpful and did provide a credit for the inconvenience of having to change rooms, which I appreciated. He mentioned that some of the issues were related to the renovations. However, if a hotel in Phoenix is going through renovations, especially during the summer, the A/C systems should probably be one of the first things inspected, updated, and made reliable. A renovated room does not mean much when guests cannot stay cool, the plumbing does not work properly, and electrical outlets fail. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. There are far too many other hotels in the Valley offering better amenities and more comfortable accommodations. It is disappointing to see the Hilton name associated with a property where the basic guest experience fell this far short.

  Lovely Property Going to Pot

  I booked this resort for the lazy river, and was well aware of the reviews, positive and negative. Positive: my son loved it and didn't see all of the chipping paint, unmaintained areas (including pool/river/mini golf). Food was good, drinks were good. Friendly staff. Negative: as with all Hilton properties, lack of maintenance throughout the property - including inside and out. Surprised that they have the gall to construct more amenities when they cannot take care of what they have. They must be catering to people who don't care so much.... Very overpriced for the quality. The pool, etc....did not open til 9:00am!! At that time in August in Phoenix it is almost 100 degrees! Because the only people there in August are locals, everything should have opened at 6 or 7am. Also, my son and I rented a king suite - he was to get the fold out sofa and surprise! No sheets or anything on that mattress. Be sure to bring your login's for Netflix, too, because they will charge you otherwise! Overall, this property sits in a beautiful area of mountains. The pools/river/mini golf are on different levels, making them quite interesting. But again, nothing is maintained, they open the amenities too late and be aware that the lazy river has no current so you must push yourself along in innertubes that no one fits in.

  Exelent

  The ongoing construction really took away from the stay and made it hard to enjoy the hotel. The staff was nice and helpful overall. Isaak at the front desk helped us with everything he could, and we really appreciated it.
