  Great for a relaxing holiday

  Fantastic location, excellent facilities, outstanding cleanliness. Adult only pool was so relaxing. Grand club breakfast restaurant was quiet, unhurried and had a fantastic range of food.

  Mixed bag.

  Overall, this is a lovely hotel with a lot going for it, but there are a few areas that let it down, and I think it is debatable whether it truly lives up to a 5-star rating. Air conditioning is a major issue. The main stairwell and lounge area, where most of the entertainment takes place, are extremely muggy during the day and, at night, become almost unbearable. The rooms do have air conditioning, but we found the controls temperamental and it took several hours for the room to cool down properly. Speaking to other guests, it was clear that we weren't the only ones experiencing this issue. The entertainment itself was excellent and one of the highlights of the stay. However, as soon as it finished, the atmosphere changed completely. There was no background music or anything to maintain the ambience, and it felt strangely silent. At around 11pm, it genuinely felt more like 4am after a nightclub had closed, which was quite bizarre for a 5-star all-inclusive resort. The food in the main restaurant was very good, with plenty of choice and generally high quality. We did have one disappointing experience in the Asian restaurant, where the food quality wasn't particularly good, but aside from that, we were very happy with the food overall. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, although there were a few exceptions. One incident particularly stood out. A senior female member of staff asked a 16-year-old girl to leave the restaurant because of her footwear. She was wearing smart, bejewelled sandals, which seemed like an unnecessarily strict interpretation of the dress code, particularly as we subsequently saw numerous other guests wearing similar or less formal footwear without any apparent issue. If a dress code is going to be enforced, it should surely be applied consistently. Unfortunately, the final billing issue left the biggest negative impression. At the end of our stay, we were presented with charges for drinks that we believed were included in our All Inclusive+ package. The receptionist printed the receipts, but none had my signature on them. I also found one of the male receptionists quite abrasive when I questioned the charges. I appreciate that it is ultimately the guest's responsibility to check the menu or app to understand exactly what is and isn't included in the All Inclusive+ package. However, at no point did any of the waiters mention that these particular drinks would incur an additional charge. Given that, I felt the situation could have been handled much better and, unfortunately, it left a bit of a bad taste at the end of what had otherwise been a good stay. To their credit, the hotel did eventually remove the disputed charges from the bill. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and there are plenty of positives, particularly the food, entertainment and general quality of the hotel. However, the air conditioning, inconsistent enforcement of the dress code and the billing experience are areas that really need attention if the hotel is going to justify its 5-star status.

  AMAZING!

  My partner and I are just back from the Grand Hyatt after 6 nights club access. This hotel is AMAZING! Staff are so friendly, the rooms are cleaned every day & spotless, mini bar stocked everyday. The turndown service at night is brilliant. Swimming pools are so clean and lovely, no rush for sunbeds. Breakfast buffet had everything you could ever think of (and I'm a picky eater). The location is perfect, so close to the beach which is the nicest beach I've been to. 1 hour free spa access for club members which was also gorgeous and clean. Balconies are huge. The entertainment at night is great. We could not find one thing to complain about. Dont worry about the bad reviews of people complaining of the grass area needing to be weeded because that's being really spoilt!! You can not go wrong with this hotel.

  Best All inclusive Hotel in Playa Blanca

  4th day in, staying at the Grand Hyatt this hotel has the wow factor. Its location is perfect, less than 50m from the islands best beach with crystal clear waters. Also within metres of the rubicon marina that houses many shops, restaurants inc new indoor shopping plaza. We are here on the All inclusive with the many restaurants onsite the food is outstanding with full waiter/waitress service. Visited both Thai and ember grill honestly rate the ember grill on par with Marco pierre white steakhouses in the UK except this is free on the all inclusive. The staff are so friendly always smiling and going out there way to make your holiday so special, we like to reward them with tips as they work so hard. We upgraded prior to arrival on the select your room app, 50 euros, room 4328 has Seaview, minibar huge TV and powerful hairdryer with nozzle. The room looks brand new. Unfortunately can't comment on the Grand club access that has the swim up bar maybe next holiday we will upgrade. Fully recommend this hotel also to the elderly no hills all flat, has lifts and ramps and will send my mum this hotel for her next holiday. Few days left but has to be up there one of the best all inclusive that offers, array onsite restaurants, location is excellent on the beach front, premium drinks inc on the all inclusive and top evening entertainment. Well done to the management you have amazing team.

  Grand Hyatt Playa Blanca

  Stayed 10 days, had 2 Grand Club rooms. Overall really enjoyed our time at the hotel - staff were attentive, option of snacks great and plenty of choices with the pools. We didn’t struggle to get sun lingers which was great. The only things that stop it being a 5 star review are: - The sand area at the adult pool area needs weeding; either keep it clean or replace it with artificial grass - Had to chase for service at breakfast to get orange juice and coffee - Could clear tables quicker Overall good experience.
