Greening Your Life: Part of the Apple Vacations Greening Your Life initiative, this property uses 100% of its green waste for compost and also sends wet waste from kitchens to pig farmers for feed, which helps to reduce landfill waste considerably. Waste cooking oil is collected and processed into biodiesel fuel, while the 4,000 sq. foot on-site hydroponics farm supplies the resort's restaurants and events with approximately 120lbs. of fresh produce per week.

The property also utilizes heat produced by the air-conditioning system by converting the output into heat water for guestrooms and swimming pools.
