  We can't wait to come back again

  As a family we have stayed at several Walt Disney World hotels over the years and this was far and away the best. It is a beautifully designed hotel, spotlessly clean and it has the most tranquil atmosphere, which is just what you want after a tiring day around the parks but what makes this hotel outstanding are the staff. From the moment we checked in till we ordered a taxi when we checked out they could not do enough to make our stay extra special. Everyone of the staff that we interacted with always had a cheerful greeting and were so knowledgeable and helpful when asked a question. The restaurants that we tried on site were excellent and had a wide variety of choices and the food that we tried was all of the highest standard and very tasty. When I look back on my holiday in Florida and I look back on our stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort it fills me with mixed emotions, happiness when I remember my time there and a little sadness that I am not there now - but we will be back.

  French Quarter atmosphere and friendly staff, some food to try and some to avoid.

  Loved how friendly and helpful the staff was. If eating at the in resort restaurants, I highly recommend the shrimp and grits or the gumbo. Stay far away from the “king cake” from the bakery, as it’s just a canned cinnamon roll with food coloring icing on top. It was really cool to be able to take a boat ride to Disney Springs!

  Fabulous French Quarter!

  We have stayed here three times in our last four trips to Florida. We absolutely love it and actually prefer it to a lot of Disney deluxe resorts. Staff are excellent (big shout out to Jeremy the greeter), the resort is immaculate and always clean and it is so handy to get to the parks (only 1 bus stop) and Disney Springs. Excellent food court, nice pool and a well stocked shop. Not forgetting of course the Beignets! The best moderate resort on Disney property by far in our opinion.

  LOVE THIS PLACE!

  06/19-06/22 visit: I LOVE this resort. French Quarter is one of the best Disney resorts-in my opinion. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. The staff is friendly. The grounds are kept very clean. I've stayed here multiple times since my first visit and the resort now has the wow factor I missed in my first visit. It's very charming. The staff in the gift shop and registration areas are very friendly now!! This is my go to resort! ------ First visit: Very good! I enjoyed my 4 night stay here but it was missing a little something for me. The grounds/establishment are very pretty and serene. I guess I was looking for some type of wow factor. I was solo but had a 2 queen bed room. The room was nice but one bed was too close to the wall. I used that bed to lay out my clothes for the day 😆. Again for me the room was missing a wow factor. The restaurants/food court was very good. Multiple selections to choose from. The beignets were delicious! I took some home. My only major disappointment was the employees in the Jackson Square gift shop. On the 2 occasions I went there after being greeted it was obvious that they were watching me. They stayed at a distance but moved with me from aisle to aisle but never once asking if I needed assistance. At one point it was clear I was trying to find the price of an item. I looked over at one of the employees and she was just staring at me! I had to walk over to her to ask for the price! It was very uncomfortable both times. I don't think I gave them any reason to act in such manner. I also visited the gift shop at Riverside and had a totally different experience there much more pleasant. Excellent shuttle service to/from theme parks and Disney Springs. All in all I will consider staying there again because it is very nice but I most likely won't visit their gift shop 😃.

  Magical family holiday

  From arriving to leaving we had the most amazing time at this hotel. We were a party of 13 (age range 10 months to 58y) split into 4 rooms. Prior to arrival we asked to be located near each other. 3 rooms were next to each other and 1, 2 doors away. We were in building 7 located on the ground floor which was good as we had 3 prams. Rooms were beautiful, fully equipped with iron, ironing board, safe, towels, hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner and coffee making facilities. The beds and pillows were the comfiest I've ever encountered. Air con was good, we used the ceiling fan as well. We had no issue with noise from above or around our rooms. We loved how small the complex is and how close you are to the pool, dining area, bus stops etc. The staff were always friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome. We did see Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, in the hotel lobby area, this was a nice not rushed experience. The food court was busy at times, we did pre order on some occasions. Food was tasty and plentiful. The pool area was relaxed and we always got sunbeds. Towels are supplied. We used the boat to Disney Springs. We found this a nice relaxing journey. Buses were busy at park opening times but we always got on, even with prams. Would we stay here again 100% yes. We are already thinking about when we can return.
