  I expected better from Courtyard by Marriott

  There were a few things that were not good. 1. Housekeeping did not refresh the room the first day of our visit. We had to call the front desk. They brought towels up around 5:00 pm. They did not bring bring more coffee packets. 2. The bathroom and shower were small. Counter space in the bathroom was extremely limited. 3. One of the window blinds was broken and would not open. That meant we could not enjoy the view from that window. 4. Water pooled on the balcony. It did not enter the room, but it did limit the use of the balcony. 5. One window rattled in the frame when the wind blew. This made it hard to sleep. It was also very concerning when the storm struck. We did not know if the window would blow out in the middle of the storm. 6. The elevator quit working a couple of times. This was concerning because our room was on the 10th floor. 7. A loudspeaker announcement in the middle of the night told people not to use the the elevator. This may have been to prevent people from being trapped if the power went out. However the announcement was not clear and was not repeated. 8. There was water in the stairwell. The water made the concrete stairs slick and unsafe. 9. One light was not functioning properly in the stairwell creating an unsafe situation. 10. Water began dripping from the ceiling of our room during the storm. This was concerning. We called the Front Desk and they said they would have Engineering look into it. We checked out before anyone came to check on the leak. That was at least 4 hours after we reported the leak. 11. Parking was horrible. This made it dangerous to cross the parking lot to reach our room. 12. Waikiki Beach was about 1/2 mile away. It would require crossing several busy streets to walk to the beach. 13. The room was expensive, really expensive! I suppose this is to be expected in an exotic destination, The hotel waived the "Resort Fees" because of the water leak leak, The staff we interacted with were very friendly and appeared to care about the customers. But dang, why couldn't they provide coffee, clean towels and a dry room. I expected better from a Courtyard by Marriott hotel.

  Courtyard Marriott Honolulu

  The hotel near beach one block or parallel to Kuhio beach street . The rooms are on the older side but the location is good. I would choose the rooms that connect to the lobby

  Courtyard Waikīkī – Disappointing Stay

  The Courtyard by Marriott Waikīkī fell short of expectations. Service was inconsistent, the facilities felt worn and outdated, and the room didn’t meet the comfort or cleanliness standards I expect from Marriott. The location is convenient, but the hotel itself needs major improvements before I’d consider returning. On top of that, the valet situation was the worst part of the stay. The valet team themselves were amazing — friendly, hardworking, and doing their best — but the parking setup was terrible. Tight space, confusing flow, and overall poor conditions that made the whole process frustrating. The staff deserves better infrastructure to work with, and guests deserve a smoother experience.

  Returning Feels Like Coming Home

  We returned to Courtyard Waikīkī Beach from July 26–28, 2026, nearly eleven months after our previous stay on August 31, 2025. It was wonderful to be back at a hotel that we had such fond memories of, and this visit reminded us exactly why we chose to return. Courtyard Waikīkī Beach may not be the largest or most luxurious hotel in Waikīkī, but what truly makes it special is its welcoming atmosphere. The relaxed Hawaiian spirit, friendly team, and comfortable environment create a place that feels easy to return to time and time again. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly Eunike, Guest Service Manager. What touched us the most was that, after more than ten months, she still remembered us. In an industry where thousands of guests come and go every year, being recognized and warmly welcomed back meant far more than any room upgrade ever could. That simple gesture made us feel genuinely valued and instantly brought back the familiar feeling of returning to a place where we belonged. It is this kind of sincere hospitality that cannot be taught—it comes from people who truly care about their guests. We would also like to thank the entire hotel team for maintaining the same consistently warm and professional service that we remembered from our previous visit. As Marriott Ambassador and Titanium Elite members, we stay at Marriott properties around the world throughout the year. We sincerely appreciate hotels that genuinely recognize and value loyal members, and Courtyard Waikīkī Beach continues to do exactly that. The elite recognition is generous, thoughtful, and always delivered with genuine hospitality rather than obligation. That is precisely why loyal members keep coming back. Luxury is not always defined by grand buildings or extravagant facilities. Sometimes, it is simply the feeling that people remember you, welcome you back, and make you feel at home. For us, Courtyard Waikīkī Beach is one of the most highly recommended Marriott hotels in Waikīkī. It consistently delivers warm hospitality, excellent elite recognition, and a team that makes every return feel special. Our heartfelt thanks again to Eunike and the entire team. We already look forward to our next visit to Waikīkī and to seeing everyone again!

  Not good

  Positives you are 3 blocks from beach. Negative is hotel. Understaffed, rooms pretty motel-ish despite recent renovation. No one answers front desk phone. Our shower ONLY had piping hot water, a first. Do not recommend probably worst Marriott affiliated hotel I've ever stayed at.
