  The tale of two Hotels

  From Monday afternoon, through to Friday Lunchtime this resort is beautiful, quiet, well serviced and just a lovely place to be. Unfortunately this changes once the hotel is opened up at weekends to day pass holders and weekenders. It appears as though the hotel tries to accommodate as many people as possible with very little regard to the guests in resident. Examples include, children not being able to play in the main pool in the afternoon due to the overwhelming drinking culture the day residents adopt taking over the pool, being pushed out of the way at the buffet with no respect for children queuing politely for food and extremely poor customer service. The hotel staffing levels are adequate during the week, however when the numbers swell at weekends, the staff struggle to cope and what was once a well run, well serviced establishment becomes extremely poor. It’s very disappointing that this hotel prioritises profit over their high-paying guest enjoyment and experiences.

  The entertainment team was definitely one of the highlights of my stay at Coral Costa Caribe! Everyone was so energetic, friendly, and welcoming, and they really made the vacation more fun and memorable. A special shout-out to Carlos, DJ Gordo Gordo, Angie, and Carlos the dancer! You could really see the passion and energy they put into entertaining the guests. The music, dancing, activities, and shows created such a fun atmosphere every day. They always made people feel included and knew how to keep everyone smiling and having a great time. Thank you to the entire entertainment team for all your hard work and for making my stay so enjoyable. You guys definitely made a difference in my vacation! Keep up the amazing work, and I hope to see you all again on my next visit! ❤️🇩🇴🎶💃🏽

  A poorly cut diamond in a stunning, exotic setting.

  I would like to share a few observations regarding our week stay at Coral Costa Caribe at June 2026. 1) Upon arrival at the resort, we were quoted a price more than double what was listed on your website; instead of $40 per day, they demanded $90. 2) I booked a romantic evening dinner on the beach ($80). When placing the order, I confirmed that I would receive fresh spiny lobster with garlic butter on the side, and my wife would get fresh Dominican fish. However, once we sat at the beautifully set table on the beach, the meal proved impossible to eat. Moths, mosquitoes, and other insects swarming around us effectively drove us away from the beach. We were then seated in an indoor area next to the buffet—right beside the restrooms. My wife was served a delicious, fantastic fish. I, however, received a plate containing reheated, frozen, rubbery lobster—with no sign of garlic butter. I asked to speak with the chef, but that never happened. 3) We stayed in room #648, which had a lovely view of the Caribbean Sea. Every night before bed, we would hear strange squeaking sounds coming from within the room. Finally, one evening, we spotted a bat sitting on the table. The bats slept in the attic space during the day and flew into our room at night through a hole in the ceiling. So far, we haven't shown any symptoms of bites from these wild creatures, but while we slept, they were free to fly around our bedroom and do whatever they pleased.Following our intervention, a staff member arrived with cleaners and removed a live bat that had been lying near the table... yet the squeaking from the attic continued throughout the night.

  Good food, staff and atmosphere

  We went last weekend, coinciding with a large group, and I think they weren't prepared to receive so many people, as it took hours to get our room. Despite this, Natacha at reception is a star co-host, and I also want to highlight all the staff; their service was very warm and attentive. The food and atmosphere were 100/100. My only complaint is that a backpack, which was tagged, wasn't put on the car when we checked out. We only realized this when we arrived back in town. I called immediately, and an hour had passed. Now, a week later, I'm still waiting for a call back, even just to say, "We regret to inform you that your item was not tagged." In the end, I considered it lost because I know that with so many young people, they might get confused, and it didn't contain anything valuable. But the service should return calls, even if it's just to report something that isn't relevant. Anyway, I would definitely go back, but perhaps not during peak season.
