Sep 01, 2026Bathroom door would not close, air conditioner broken!
We have stay in this hotel for the past 8 yrs, we use the premium floor and this time all was different. Broken Bathroom door, air conditioner, phone. Room was not ready at 3pm, we fly over 12 hours to get to this hotel and want to get to our room right away to rest! Had to go to their restaurant to wait, so we ordered 4 coffee and desert, coffee was cold and they never got my desert! Amazing!! They later send my desert to the room? What for!!

not a 5 star, badly trained rude staff, rooms not checked to ensure they were up to standard, check in very slow only 1 person working, , They advertise free airport shuttle but its only every 2 hours ! so not be fooled it is not useful at all ! staff are not friendly or helpful, there are other airport hotels I wished I had stayed at !!

We stayed here for 2 nights before continuing throughout costa rica on our caravan tour. It was a very nice hotel with a really nice pool and the surrounding grounds were well manicured and very appealing. In the lobby they had a piano player right outside the bar whom was very good. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Restaurant we dined in was a buffet provided through caravan tours and the food was decent but a bit dull with variety. You could hear the highway from our room during the night so it might be a problem if your a light sleeper. All in all I would recommend it.

fun trip
Overall, the hotel was excellent. The grounds were beautiful and had every amenity. Had problems with the inhouse telephone system all week and was not resolved. The conceirge was fabulous.
