Overall it was a very good experience especially for the price and we would stay again. If I could recommend one upgrade it would be larger bathrobes in the rooms for plus size people like myself. The food in the restaurants that we ate in were excellent but the portions are very large causing a lot of food waist, wish they would offer 1/2 size options.

I love this resort.
Wow for my first time being at a resort this was incredible. From the food to the view to the service it was all amazing and if I come back I will be staying with Barceló again!!

LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE
This is our all time favorite family vacation spot. Truly something for every one. Fun for all. The pool life is great and the drinks are amazing. The staff is super helpful and friendly. All in all the Vibe is the best vacation vibe.

Barcelo 5* - German and Augusto 10*
7th trip to Barcelo Maya in last 4 years. Once you find the perfect resort for you why change it. 2 employees are the difference and reason I personally keep returning, German Lopez in the Tequila Lobby Bar and Augusto at the Casino. Couldn’t ask for a nicer staff at any other resort in Mexico. Also special thank you to Alejandro, Mellisa, Fabiola, Josue and every other staff there who makes it worth returning to every six months. Also if you’re there for snorkelling trips, there is really good snorkelling at the resort. And booking Cozumel is super easy with Nexus. But ya Sea turtles straight out from the Jaguar statue almost all the time, and this year looking for sea turtles came face to face 2ft away from a 5’ barracuda and it followed me back 30 yards after getting too close. They’re there too just a heads up, keep your eyes open. But thank you for another amazing trip Barcelo and again special thanks to my Amigos German and Augusto!!! God bless you and all your amazing staff Barcelo!!!! See you in 6 months!!!!
