It’s huge with so many things to do for all ages. We stayed on the adults only side but attended most dinners on the family side. Great food and atmosphere. We will definitely visit again.

Honest Barceló Adults Only Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️ My Honest Review of Barceló Adults Only I’m giving Barceló Adults Only 3 stars. We had some wonderful experiences during our stay, but there were also some issues with customer service that I feel should be addressed. The biggest disappointment was the attitude of some of the ladies working in the buffet area. On one occasion, a staff member brought my husband orange juice and literally slammed the cup down on the table. Another time, when the buffet was completely full, my husband asked for help finding a table. Instead of assisting us, we were told to just sit at a dirty table. The tables were frequently left dirty after guests finished eating, sometimes for quite a while. We saw several other guests standing around waiting for tables to be cleaned and even asking staff to wipe them down so they could sit. This was frustrating and definitely not the level of service I would expect from a resort. What made it even more disappointing was that the male staff members working in the dining area were completely different. They were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable and cared for. They truly made us feel like family. There were also some really special moments during our stay. ❤️ For my birthday, the resort surprised me by sending a cake to our room, and that really made my day extra special. 🎂 From the moment we checked in, the gentleman at the front desk made my husband and me feel like we had just arrived home. The welcome was so warm and genuine that we immediately felt like we had made the right choice to celebrate my birthday there. We also booked an excursion through Guest Services, and they were amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience. And the Saona Island excursion was absolutely a 10/10! 🌴☀️🌊 It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and something I would recommend. So, although I’m giving the resort 3 stars, I want to be fair and acknowledge the staff members who made our stay special. There are some wonderful people working at this resort, but the buffet service and cleanliness of the dining area need significant improvement. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because with better customer service and more attention to keeping the dining area clean, this resort could provide a much better experience for its guests. I can also make it more blunt and “no-filter” if you want the review to really emphasize how rude the buffet staff were.

Overall this is a nice resort but a bit dated. If you are on the "adults only" side and want to do about 80% of the restaurants, casino, nightly entertainment, bowling alley, etc. you will need to travel to the family side for it, so it's not truly adults only. Staff is wonderful, food is very good, beach was full of seaweed. The resort is HUGE, so they have cute "trains" ( small vehicles pulling benches on carts) to bring you were you want to go. Great for families! Tons to do!

Really had a great girls trip.It was my birthday and apparently the hotel had my birth date and sent a cake up to the room with a beautiful letter, in Spanish but non the less very thoughtful. I had a second cake delivered to my table after dinner that night. It was the off season so we never had to wait for dinner, lounge chairs a spot at the bar or a seat at the show which I liked. The food was ok, but the choices are plentiful. Breakfast buffet is the best. The staff at the hotel are very nice, communication can be difficult since most of them don't speak english. But you manage to get the point. across or give up and find someone else to answer. I can't say anything bad about my experience there and I would go there again.

Loving to have vacation
It was very good to stay at Bavaro the food was amazing and the view of th hotel is so pretty ... So confortable and secure
