Aug 31, 2026Great hotel with minor failing details
Great location, friendly staff, nice view of the pool and nice beaches with a lot of complimentary activities to fill the day. Had Ka’ana for breakfast, Morimoto for dinner, also tried the Lu’au. All is great experiences. The only downsides is the room. Any room that does not have some ocean view is basically facing a very close parking lot and dumpsters. You can hear car engine start and stops during the day. Our room also had no hot water in shower on our first day. After they fixed that and then the temperature of the water keeps fluctuating during shower. Overall it is good experiences but would expect small details to be improved.

Andaz Wailea is a must visit for couples and friends. Food at all restaurants was incredible, the grounds and pools are beautiful and well laid out, and the spa is incredible. We always enjoy our visits here and leave feeling refreshed and excited for our next visit.

Beautiful hotel, but not for a luxury experience
The Andaz is physically modern, with beautiful landscaping and pools, and comfortable rooms. However, it felt like a big box hotel, not the curated luxury experience I thought I paid for. The ticky-tacky nature of charging extra for anything they could think of (e.g. - espresso not included in breakfast buffet, $20 if you want the snorkel for more than an hour, $300-500 for a poolside cabana) made the experience feel a bit cheap. Felt like they got the 5 stars more by checking boxes on a list than by thinking about creating a valuable experience for guests. That’s all a knock on brand / ownership. The staff was all very friendly and did what was within their power to accommodate us and make us feel special. Unfortunately, we’ve been spoiled by other great hotel experiences and this one just didn’t leave an impression.

Highly recommend for families
My kids extremely loved the multi level infinity pool and having easy access to the Mokapu beach when they wanted to mix it up. Also, we extremely enjoyed the morning breakfast buffet at the Ka’ana kitchen. Our kids enjoyed the few entertainment activities that were available like the RC racing and splash tower. A few more free options would be great. Our room was amazing, we used a SUA for the Andaz suite. We had amazing sunrise & sunset walks along the walkway near the beach and took advantage of nice gym set up in the mornings. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed everything the property had to offer.

Best vacation ever!
Best vacation of I ever been on. From the staff to the views in the room, pools and beach access everything was beyond perfect. Food was amazing both at the breakfast buffet and Morimoto. It was my honeymoon and the staff went out of their way to make it so special for my wife and I. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. It’s an extremely beautiful hotel with even better people to give it life. I will definitely be visiting again during my next trip to Maui.
